A Taste of Knitting with Wire (Earrings)
by Wendy Avery
Try something new with your knitting skills! Fine gauge wire is a great medium for knitting earrings. Wendy will show you how to knit basic wire earringswith potential for embellishment. Basic knitting experience required. You should have time to finish one or two pair, but have plenty of wire to complete more at home.
Materials: please bring a pair of double point or short single point (10 or 12 inch) size 2 metal needles. Bring reading glasses if you need them for close work! If you have jewelry pliers at home, please bring those as well (don't purchase, Wendy will have some). Wendy will bring 32 gauge wire and findings including earring wires for pierced ears (not sterling silver). If you wish to do earrings for the non-pierced ear, email Wendy at email@example.com and we'll figure out what you will need.
