We will host Becca Cook, a local fiber artist.
Georgia-based Rebecca Cook is a multimedia artist who finds inspiration in the dark recesses of her mind, in the light behind her eyes, and in the shadowy weirdness and in-betweens of our everyday. Rebecca Cook’s fiber work shows the same boundless creativity – and fearlessness. She creates two-headed teddy bears, depressed and mentally suffering (they’re called the “Sad Bears”). Myrtle, her four-legged doll, is on display at the World-Famous Crochet Museum in Joshua Tree, California. While Cook also creates clothing, accessories and colorful crochet ephemera, she uses her fiber art to make statements.
Her website is beccacookart.com.
