Kumihimo with Sue Gleiner
Class Description: Learn the art of Kumihimo, a Japanese technique for braid making. You will use a handheld disc to make braid which can be turned into an embellishment for jewelry using different colors of rat tail cord. Sue will provide an instruction sheet so you can continue at home.
Materials fee: $10 to be paid to instructor on the day of the class.

Instructor Bio: Sue Gleiner has been enthusiastic about fiber arts of all types after learning to spin in 1982. She has done spinning, dyeing, wool preparation, knitting, crocheting, kumihimo, spranging, macrame, needle felting, wet felting, Nuno felting, and probably some other things that she has forgotten. Sue is a retired pediatrician from Rochester, New York and is now a summer resident of Vermont and a winter resident of Hilton Head.
