Day Two of Two
This class is now full
Class Description: Experience joy of weaving without fear using the freestyle weaving techniques on a floor loom in our Oatland Island fiber studio. Learn how to create a short narrow warp, put the warp yarns on the loom and start to weave. The workshop will be held on a Saturday and the following Sunday. You will be able to weave during the week and be ready to wind a second warp if you have finished weaving the first, the next Sunday. Each participant will be able to use the loom for one-month rent-free. After that time they may rent the loom from the guild month by month. Supplies needed to be purchased by the students on their own or pay a materials fee for a kit provided by the instructor.
Students should bring the following materials:
2 skeins or balls of sport weight cotton yarn (approximately 350yd) in contrasting colors to use for warp and weft.
Assorted leftover yarns
We also have lots of different yarns available to use for weft in the studio.
Yarn is available at our local yarn shops: The Frayed Knot or Unwind.
Maximum 5 students.
Registration: Registration can be completed on the class listing on 2/8/2020.
