Ruffles and Roses Nuno Felt Scarf
This class is suitable for beginners as well as those more advanced. Nuno felting uses techniques to bond loose fibers into lovely textured fabric. We will begin with a small sample to ensure proper techniques for felting (Margo will provide small pieces of silk and wool for this sample)-it’s always good to have a refresher, plus there are a couple of techniques exclusive to Margo’s process; she does not use bubble wrap.
In Class, we will begin with silk on the bottom, then a layer of fine merino, then top with silk, creating pleats (that will become ruffles), roses, holes, and more. When you are finished, you will be proud of your gorgeous scarf!
