Taste of… Pleated Silk Scarf - 1/2 day

Acid dyed silk, microwaved, then while still damp, twisted very tightly, lengthwise, into a skein until dry. The dried scarf when unfurled retains the pleats created when twisted — a fun colorful crinkle scarf.
Materials Fee: $25 (Two silk scarves, dyes, tools, etc. provided) payable to TREESA on day of class.
Bring: gloves, apron and old towel.
TREESA received her undergraduate degree in Ceramics and later founded a pottery supply company, the Ceramic Store. She received an MFA in Sculpture and Jewelry did post graduate studies at Cranbrook Academy. As a lifelong knitter, yarn became an obsession. She began working in fibers as a spinner; dyeing fleeces and making yarn. She’s currently a dyer, spinner and weaver.
