Learn to Read a Basic Knitting Pattern and Knit a Shawl

Knitting expert Karen O’Neill will help you create a knitted shawl by learning how to read a knitting pattern and learning the tricks to make a triangle shawl.

 

Prerequisite: You will need to know how to knit and how to purl before attending the class.

 

What to bring: Bring worsted weight yarn, knitting needles of the size identified on the yarn, stitch markers and scissors.  Note: 2 ½ skeins of worsted yarn, “at least” 400 yards, more if larger shawl wanted, is needed to knit the entire shawl. You can choose a single color, one or more colors for striping, or a multicolor yarn.  Only the first skein will be needed during the class.
